There are two types of contact lens fittings that we preform for our patients. The first is for patients who have never worn contact lenses before, and the second is for patients who need to make changes to the current contact lenses.
Both fittings are designed to accomplish three goals:
- Excellent vision
- Optimal comfort
- Exceptional ocular health
The cost for a fitting will vary depending on the work that needs to be done. New fittings cost more because of the additional time for training the patient on insertion, removal and cleaning of the contact lenses. The cost of the fittings is most likely not covered by insurance, and in most situations will require extra visits after a comprehensive eye exam. The fitting appointment, all follow-up visits, and training are all included in the contactlens fitting fee. There is no requirement to purchase contact lenses from our office, but a competitive price quote is always given to each patient.
